In the video game Donkey Kong Country on the ”Mine Cart Madness” level, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong race along an abandoned mineshaft in a rickety mine cart, collecting bananas and dodging enemies. There are no brakes on this crazy cart. It’s go-go-go at full speed until the end of the line, making for one exciting ride!

The original video game was a 16-bit side-scroller, so there was not a lot of detail from which to draw inspiration. I took artistic license and drew this scene in my own style. This enabled me to give Diddy and DK personalities in line with how I imagine they’d actually react in this situation.
