The 800' high Waipo'o Falls is the centerpiece in Waimea Canyon, Kauai. The spectacular double waterfall stands out against the red rocks and earth of the canyon. Waimea Canyon is known as ”the Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, and a popular destination for tourist helicopter sightseeing flights. I almost did not get this photo. We were there in the morning and the weather was bad. We decided to return later in the day and luckily it cleared for a short time with a great sunlight angle.
